The lighthouse portion of the Upper Peninsula Upventure continues...
Three days ago I wrote about the failure of the Grand Island East Harbor Lighthouse in Lake Superior's Munising Harbor to adequately warn boats. So a pair of lighthouses were built in 1908, and that lighthouse was decommissioned.
Pictured is the still-active Munising Front Range Light, which is located in the heart of its namesake town. I didn't know it existed until I got home, but this lighthouse has a shorter twin which is situated on a nearby hill.
