IL lt guv, a Madigan tool, says Illinoisans face a 20-percent income tax hike if "pension bailout" tax amendment fails
The Prairie State has been spending more than it takes in for a couple of decades now and the damage is apparent. Illinois regularly has a backlog of billions of dollars in unpaid bills. The Democrats' reward to the public-sector unions, generous pensions, have also wreaked a savage toll. Illinois' pension plans are among the most under-funded about the 50 states. And there is no way out of that hole under the current system. Breaking the mold there are three ways out. One is a federal bailout--not likely, in my opinion. Or a bankruptcy declaration. And a change in federal law needs to take place for that to occur. And finally, the best one, is an amendment to the state constitution that will allow legislators to lower pension payments. That's an amendment I'll back!
Those retirees earning modest pensions should be protected, in my opinion.
Yesterday Illinois' lieutenant governor, Juliana Stratton, pressing the panic button, is warning residents that they face a twenty-percent income tax hike if the pension bailout amendment, which is what I'm calling it, fails at the ballot box in November.
Stratton is a real peace of work. She defeated a rarity--a Springfield Democrat who worked with Republicans--in her Democratic state representative primary in 2016, That independent streak of her opponent, Ken Dunkin, was too much for Boss Michael Madigan, the state Democratic chairman and longtime statehouse speaker. Barack Obama, who was still president at the time, somehow found time, despite his voluminous other duties, to endorse Stratton in that primary.
Illinois voters--vote "No" on the pension bailout tax.
If Illinois politicians are ever given an unlimited budget--they will exceed it.
Illinois has been losing residents every year since 2014. It's easy to understand why.

Two cops shot during Louisville protest
Two Louisville, Kentucky, police officers were shot Wednesday night in the city’s downtown amid protests after a grand jury did not indict cops in the killing of Breonna Taylor. The officers were shot around 8:30 p.m. near Broadway and Brook Street as residents took to the city’s streets after the grand jury’s decision was handed down earlier in the day, the Louisville Metro Police said.An unidentified suspect was taken into custody at the scene, but charges against them were not released. Both officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries, said Robert Schroeder, the LMPD’s interim police chief.

Where's Hunter? Senate releases interim report on his Burisma dealings
Yes, where is Hunter?
The Senate Homeland Security and Finance Committees on Wednesday released an interim report on their monthslong joint investigation into Hunter Biden’s role on the board of Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings and his alleged "extensive and complex financial transactions."
Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said their investigation has “faced many obstacles” from Democrats on their committees and that executive agencies "failed to comply with document requests."
The chairmen added that "there remains much work to be done" in their probe. Hunter Biden is the son of the Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. His work background played a starring role in the Trump impeachment efforts earlier this year. He and his father have denied any wrongdoing related to his work.
The 87-page report stated that Obama administration officials "knew" that Hunter Biden's position on the board of Burisma was "problematic" and that it interfered “in the efficient execution of policy with respect to Ukraine."

Of the fatalities one occurred in Back of the Yards on the South Side and the other at the CTA el station at Morse on the North Side.
Food tundra: Alaska village under lockdown loses only store in fire
In urban areas activists complain of "food deserts" in the inner city that don't have a grocery store.
We have a "food tundra" in a small Alaska village because of lockdown politics.
From Alaska Public Media:
The only store the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta village of Kasigluk burned down on the night of Sept. 10, leaving residents without a place in town to buy groceries, clothes, and other supplies. The community is locked down to prevent the coronavirus from spreading, which meant that Kasigluk couldn’t get help from nearby villages to fight the flames.
Dance party serves as protest against Anchorage mayor's lockdown
People on the right do things, well, right. When conservatives protest we don't block traffic, scream in the face of people, and allow things turn violent.
Other than the abysmal (in my opinion) choice of tunes, this expression of First Amendment rights was ideal.
From Must Read Alaska:
It’s not every day you witness a conga line forming in the middle of a political demonstration, but that’s what happened Tuesday evening at the Loussac Public Library.
Two dozen protesters gathered outside the Assembly Chambers at the Loussac and threw what can only be described as a political dance party. The demonstration was in direct defiance of the recent emergency order (EO 14 v.2) signed by Mayor Ethan Berkowitz on Aug. 28, which restricts “loud or amplified” music and indoor/outdoor dancing. Using the greatest dance hits from the ’80s and ’90s as their soundtrack, protesters turned the library entrance into their makeshift dance floor.
People of all ages participated in the protest, as many performed the Macarena, Electric Slide, Boot Scootin’ Boogie, Footloose, and the ever-popular YMCA. Some were sporting bare feet, others were in socks. They shouted and cheered, and some carried signs of protest.

Two Delaware women accused of stealing a MAGA hat outside the Democratic National Convention were indicted Tuesday on charges including second-degree robbery and felony hate crimes.
Olivia Winslow and Camryn Amy, both 21, were indicted by a grand jury on charges of second-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree assault, attempted third-degree assault, offensive touching and felony hate crimes, Delaware Online reported.
Three of the charges are felonies, and the two women could spend a total of 15 years in prison, according to Delaware Online. Winslow and Amy are out on bail, a spokesperson for Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings told Delaware Online.

Jobless rate falls to 8.4 percent
From CNBC:
Nonfarm payrolls increased by 1.37 million in August and the unemployment rate tumbled to 8.4% as the U.S. economy continued to climb its way out of the pandemic downturn.
The unemployment rate was by far the lowest since the coronavirus shutdown in March, according to Labor Department figures released Friday. An alternative measure that includes discouraged workers and those holding part-time jobs for economic reasons also fell, down to 14.2% from 16.5% in July and 22.8% at the peak in April.
Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had been expecting growth of 1.32 million and the jobless rate to decline to 9.8% from 10.2% in July.
“It’s another great day for American jobs and American workers,” Vice President Mike Pence told CNBC. Pence added that the job growth and the single-digit unemployment rate is “real evidence that the American comeback is underway.”
Federal agents kill man suspected of murdering Trump supporter in Portland
A man suspected of fatally shooting a supporter of a right-wing group in Portland, Oregon, last week after a caravan of Donald Trump backers rode through downtown was killed Thursday as investigators moved in to arrest him, the U.S. Marshals Service said Friday.
The man, Michael Forest Reinoehl, 48, was killed as a federal task force attempted to apprehend him near Lacey, Washington, about 120 miles (193 kilometers) north of Portland. Reinoehl was the prime suspect in the killing of 39-year-old Aaron “Jay” Danielson, who was shot in the chest Saturday night, a senior Justice Department official told The Associated Press.
Federal agents from the FBI and the U.S. Marshals Service had located him on Thursday after a warrant was issued for his arrest, and Reinoehl pulled a gun during the encounter, the official said. The official wasn't authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.
A U.S. Marshals Service statement later said the fugitive task force “attempted to peacefully arrest him."

Winning! Feds say Operation Legend responsible for 100 Chicago arrests
Operation Legend, a national initiative to arrest and charge people for gun and drugs charges, has resulted in 102 arrests in Chicago so far, federal authorities announced Thursday.
Most of those arrests have been charged in federal court in Chicago, where 60 people face gun charges and 25 others faced drug charges. "The mission of Operation Legend is clear: reduce violent crime and save lives,"U.S. Attorney John Lausch, Jr. said in a statement.
Most recently, a man was charged with a gun offense for allegedly “straw purchasing” several guns in Indiana on behalf of a convicted felon in Chicago.

But will he take live questions? Biden to visit Kenosha Thursday
Downtown Kenosha on Sunday |
My report from Kenosha that day is here.
Joe's trip north of the Cheese Curtain will include a community meeting. Will he take questions from attendees? Will he do something that he hasn't done in over a month--answer a live question from a reporter? He'll have plenty of opportunities to do so tomorrow as the Chicago and Milwaukee media had a heavy presence in Kenosha. There were plenty of national and international reporters there too. I can't imagine Thursday being any different.
C'mon man! Answer some questions. Live ones!
When was Joe Biden's last press conference? Exactly five months ago. And Biden took only four questions.

After violent protest on his birthday outside his condo Portland's mayor says he's moving
Yesterday Wheeler apologized to his neighbors and said he's moving out.
Reacting to leftist violence is the oxygen that feeds the beast. Antifa and its allies will only be emboldened by the mayor moving to a new residence. And unless Wheeler resigns--which is what the radicals want--and moves far from Portland, the protesters will only track him down to his new home.
If the Biden-Harris ticket wins in November, what you see is a preview of what America will look like in a few years.
Biden rambles at rare public appearance when discussing COVID-19
What ever he had before he's lost it. The spin is off his fastball.
Now Biden can't handle reading from a teleprompter. Perhaps it froze on him. Even so talking about the impact of COVID-19 isn't that mentally challenging for most people.
"COVID has taken this year, just since the outbreak, has taken more than 100 years… Look, Here's… The lives… It's just… I mean, think about it," is what Biden said at a rare public appearance, one where he took no questions, on Monday.
What Biden probably meant to say that COVID-19 is the worst pandemic since the Spanish Flu of 1918. That isn't true, the Asian Flu of the late 1950s was deadlier, but anyway, other than hatred of President Trump, why does Biden have any support?

Photos from Kenosha on the day Trump visited that you won't see in the mainstream media
Here's just one picture that you won't see in the mainstream media. A woman of color with a Keep America Great Hat holding a "Thank you Trump" sign near the federal court house off of Sheridan Road, the scene of the worst rioting last week.
Trump 2020, No More Bullshit. That's all the profanity that I encountered from the Patriots' side today. The F-Bombs, the screaming, and the annoying chant from portable sound systems all came from the leftists.
I exited I-41/94 at 52nd Street. And what was I forced to drive behind? This MoveOn.org truck that reads "Reject Trump's violence." Huh? Joe Biden, in a rare public appearance Monday in Pennsylvania yesterday blamed the mayhem taking place in big cities, all with Democratic mayors, on the president. Antifa and Black Lives Matter are not Trump supporters. The only reason they're not 100-percent behind Biden is that most of Antifa are Bernie Bros.
Now take a look at this picture. That MoveOn.org van decided to park on the site of an automobile dealership that saw nearly it's entire inventory destroyed by arsonists.
This is not Trump's violence. It's the Democrats' violence.
Not a single Democrat has denounced Antifa unconditionally. None.
That's the roof of the car dealership. The signs read, "Where is our justice?
"What did our community do to deserve this?"
"Help needed! GoFundMe.com CarSource in Kenosha. God bless!"
Click here to contribute to CarSource's GoFundMe campaign.
"Trump saved Kenosha. Mr. President thank you."
I arrived around 11am. At that time most of the folks gathered on Sheridan Road were Trump backers. Then BLM showed up. The guy with the green hair and the woman in the mask were particularly rude.
The most powerful and dangerous fascists in America is Antifa. Nothing comes close. Do you hear that Democrats?
A few folks were selling BLM t-shirts. These Black Lives Matters shirts here, which read "Kenosha on fire," are in particular bad taste because as you've seen there was arson during the Kenosha riots.
Mangia Wine Bar closed this winter. But that doesn't make it okay to torch it. Oh, as I wrote in my Sunday Kenosha post, the artwork is part of a grass roots post-riot beautification project.
That's part of President Trump's motorcade on Sheridan Road.
As I also mentioned in that Sunday Kenosha post, black-owned businesses during the 1967 Detroit riots painted "Soul Brother" on their storefronts. This one chose to declare it's a "Black owned business." But did this establishment get looted anyway?
I'm sorry my liberal friends. The truth hurts. I didn't see any conservatives crudely protest against Barack Obama in such a way. That sign reads, "Dump Trump, flush the turd November 3rd."
Oh, very few of the Trump supporters, including myself, wore masks. Most of the leftists did.
Antifa is a fascist group that calls itself an anarchist organization. Pictured here is the anarchist flag.
This woman for Trump believes "Small government equals freedom."
So do I.
Two supporters of the president being interviewed by a reporter. I was most of the Chicago and Milwaukee media there, as well as AP, and reporters from Poland, Great Britain, and Russia.
How bad was the looting in Kenosha? Even the dollar stores got hit.
I shot some video but not only am I having issues uploading it. I'm in need of a decent and easy to use video software. And cheap. I only take videos occasionally.
Any suggestions?
Buh-bye for now from Kenosha!

Eating their own: Leftists riot at Portland mayor's home on his birthday
From the Daily Mail:
Protesters in Portland gathered outside Democrat mayor Ted Wheeler's apartment Monday night to 'celebrate' his birthday by letting off fireworks and singing 'happy tear gas to you'.
A fire was lit in the street outside the 58-year-old's apartment block in an upmarket area in the north of the city, as around 200 people gathered while blasting music, sounding horns, banging pots and pans, and playing drums.
Activists - some of whom were carrying balloons and wearing party hats - danced to the Macarena and were heard shouting slogans including 'Black Lives Matter.'
Police arrived around 11pm after fires were started in the street, declared the scene a riot, and ordered the demonstrators to leave, KOIN reported.
