Thieves storm stores in Democrat-run California cities as millions of dollars in merchandise stolen
Woke Milwaukee County prosecutor released alleged parade killer on $1,000 bail
Now, as DA Chisholm faces furious questions about why this happened, the spotlight is being shone on his controversial campaign to send fewer Wisconsin residents to prison despite an unprecedented influx of crime in Milwaukee County.
Chisolm enlisted the help of the Vera Institute of Justice, a New York-based non-profit group that works with government and civil leaders 'to improve the services people rely on for safety and justice.'
Its website says it opposes cash bail believing it unfairly penalizes the poorest people in society and leads to disproportionate numbers of ethnic minority suspects in jails awaiting trial.
Chisholm has been praised by liberals for striving to reduce Milwaukee's prison population by slashing the number of people held in jail on cash bail.
Five people are dead because of Chisholm's malpractice. In a face-saving move--or is it an attempt at career-saving move?--Chisholm's office released a statement on Monday saying Brooks' bail was "inappropriately low."
Duh!

Alderman in bankrupt-but-in-name-only Chicago wants to buy Bears so they don't move to suburbs
Depending on who you talk to Chicago's public worker pension debt is either the worst in the nation--or close to it. There is no workable way out of it short of massive tax hikes that will force thousands of businesses and perhaps hundreds of thousands of Chicagoans to flee the city, or by defaulting, or a change in Illinois bankruptcy that will allow municipalities to declare bankruptcy.
On a side note--the state of Illinois' pension debt is equally dismal.
Oh there is one other way out--before I get to my point--hyper-inflation. That may be coming.
This fall the Chicago Bears took steps to purchase the sprawling property of the Arlington Race Course in suburban Arlington Heights--which just closed down for good. The Monsters of the Midway play in the NFL's smallest stadium.
The move makes financial senses as they Bears are merely tenants in Soldier Field. They'll own any future stadium and they can turn the property into a "Bears-land," with restaurants, meeting facilities, and perhaps a hotel. They'll own the parking lots and the concessions.
Meanwhile a Chicago alderman, George Cardenas, wants the bankrupt-in-name-only city of Chicago to buy the Bears--and then sell stock to fans. Just like the Green Bay Packers. Only Chicago has a long record of corruption--over 35 members of the Chicago City Council that Cardenas sits on have served time in federal prison.

4th Infantry "Ivy" Division Memorial in Augusta, Georgia
On the median of Greene Street in Augusta, Georgia is the 4th Infantry Ivy Division Memorial. The nickname "Ivy" comes from the IV, as in "four" in Latin.
The Ivy Division fought in World War I and II as well as Vietnam. It was the first unit to report to nearby Camp Gordon, now Fort Gordon, after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Think of the veterans from the Ivy Division and all of the veterans of our military today.

Ten shot and at least 40 wounded over weekend in Chicago
Over this past weekend ten people were shot to death at least 40 others were wounded. For the year, according to Hey Jackass, 695 people have been slain in Chicago and 3316 wounded.
Over at CWB Chicago, last month they reported that there is a push to put more cops on the street--now they do that? Oh, it's part of a push to keep the 2021 murder total under 800.
Wow, do you mean the Chicago could have done more earlier in the year to combat shootings?

"Russian collusion" dealt big blow with arrest
From the Fox News:
Federal agents arrested the primary sub-source who contributed to the unverified anti-Trump dossier Thursday as part of Special Counsel John Durham’s investigations into the origins of the probe into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 presidential election.
Igor Danchenko's arrest is linked to a federal grand jury indictment in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Durham is charging Danchenko, a Russian citizen residing in Virginia, with five counts of making false statements to the FBI. The charges stemmed from statements Danchenko made relating to the sources he used in providing information to an investigative firm in the United Kingdom.
Danchenko is scheduled to make his first court appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Theresa C. Buchanan Thursday afternoon.
Danchenko is believed to be the sub-source for former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, who compiled the dossier that served as the basis for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants against Trump campaign aide Carter Page. The dossier was funded by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign through law firm Perkins Coie.
