Mark Dice: Brian Stelter's Only Hope To Save His Show

Even though it is on CNN, Brian Stelter somehow still has a show.

5 killed and at least 72 others wounded over weekend in Chicago; there were two mass shootings Sunday night

Last week, after another bloody weekend where five people were shot to death and 47 others were wounded in Chicago, Mayor Lori Lightfoot made the outrageous claim that violent crime was down in Chicago--but only compared from this June to last.

At that time the number of shootings from this June to last June were slightly down. But again, at that time, shootings were up from 2020 and way up from 2019, the year Lightfoot was sworn in.

What will Lightfoot say today? Because over this past weekend five people were shot to death and at least 72 others were wounded. That's 25 more shootings than last weekend.

There were two mass shootings--both Sunday night on the South Side. One in Chicago Lawn where one person was killed and seven others wounded. The other, in South Shore, where one person was shot to death and five others wounded.

Oh, as I wrote yesterday for Da Tech Guy, Lightfoot is wrong about the root cause of rampant violence in Chicago.

Kamala Harris has no answer for why it took over 3 months for her to visit the border

Three months after being appointed to lead the White House response to the ongoing crisis at the southern border, Vice President Kamala Harris was asked why it took so long for her to visit.

She couldn't come up with an answer, other than vague generalities.

Joe Biden's choice of Harris as his running mate is evidence of his cognitive decline.

Rose McGowan talks about Britney Spears, Hollywood's destructive culture with Tucker

Hollywood is full of monsters who crush people. Scum like Harvey Weinstein who flourished for years in the entertainment industry.

Yet the entertainment industry constantly wags their phony righteous fingers at the rest of us.

Rose McGowan discusses it all with Tucker Carlson.

Man killed and wife wounded while celebrating Puerto Rican Day Parade in Chicago

You probably heard about the shooting death of Gyovanny "Gyo" Arzuaga in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood over the weekend.

He was shot execution style on a busy straight when mush of the neighborhood was participating in the annual Puerto Rican Parade. Amazingly, the Fox Chicago reporter noted that the killer flashed gang signs before pulling the trigger.

Chicago has a gang problem--not a gun problem.

Arsuaga's wife was shot in the neck and she is in crtical condition.

Last week Chicago's mayor, Lori Lightfoot, says "the city is safe."

Five fatally shot in Chicago over weekend and at least 47 wounded; woman stabbed to death Saturday afternoon downtown

Lori Lightfoot is doing what bad politicians do when they can't, or in the Chicago mayor's case, fix something. They deflect. In Lighweight's case, she won't find an effective way to combat rising violence in her city. She's beholden to leftist ideology.

Last week she declared racism a public health crisis. Meanwhile people keep shooting each other in Chicago and most of the victims are minorities. Over the past weekend five people were shot to death and at least 47 others were wounded. Of the fatalities two were in Humboldt Park on the Northwest Side, there was another killing on the Northwest Side in Bucktown. On the South Side a man was shot to death in Parkway Gardens and another man killed by a shooter in Back of the Yards on the Southwest Side.

Liberals like Lightfoot always decry "gun violence." Never "gang violence" or even "violence." Their ulitmate goal is to ban private gun ownership. But people murder each even without guns. In the middle of the day Saturday a college grad student was stabbed to death downtown--that's an area where such violence was rare until a couple of years ago.

Hmm...what happened two years ago? Oh, Lori Lightfoot was elected mayor.

Lightfoot lashes out at Chicago Bears, who are considering a move to suburbs

The ultimate responsibility of any government is to protect its citizens. But the city's murder rate is soaring--and in the past week there have been three mass shootings. Carjackings are skyrocketing too

So if a business doesn't feel safe in Chicago--or if feels the city is unsafe for its customers--it is likely to look elsewhere for a home.

So it is with the Chicago Bears who have placed a bid to purchase Arlington International Racecourse in northwest suburban Arlington Heights even though they have lease at Soldier Field on Chicago's Lakefront until 2033.

Bears president Ted Phillips says they plan to "explore every possible option" in regards to a home. Chicago's unhinged mayor, who is beholden to leftist ideologies that makes her incapable to addressing Chicago's crime wave, predictably lashed out at the Bears, who have called Chicago home for 100 years. "And like most Bears fans, we want the organization to focus on putting a winning team on the field," the Ohio native said, "beating the Packers finally, and being relevant past October. Everything else is just noise."

What a petulant child.

Lightfoot needs to retool her mindset and focus on protecting Chicagoans.

Joe Biden's many weaknesses were obvious to just about everyone on Election Day.

Eight people killed and at least 19 others wounded in Chicago on Tuesday; there were two mass shootings

Lori Lightfoot, the unhinged mayor of Chicago, is running out of excuses for the rise in shootings. As the lockdown is finally over she'll have to find another excuse. Of course Lightfoot, a hardened leftist, is incabable of finding fault with her failing policies.

Two years ago a day like Tuesday--with eight people shot to death and at least 19 wounded--would be a weekend violence total. Now it's a weekday daily tally.

There were two mass shootings on Tuesday. In Englewood on the South Side four people were killed and four others were wounded yesterday morning. Last night in West Garfield Park on the West Side four people were wounded in a mass shooting. Over the last five days there have been three mass shootings in Chicago.

Three people shot to death and eighteen wounded in Chicago on Monday; Lightfoot exposed as unhinged

The weekend ended but the carnage continued in Chicago. Three people were shot to death yesterday, two on the South Side and one on the Southwest Side, and at least 18 others were wounded.

Chicago's murder rate has skyrocketed since Lori Lightfoot became mayor two years ago.

Late last week, courtesty of a Freedom of Information request, we learned that the city's failed mayor, channeled Jack Nicholson in the movie The Shining by writing in an email, "I need office time every day!" sixteen successive times. Office time is Lightfoot's quiet time. "That’s typically a less structured part of the day when the mayor can think, write or make long-term plans," the Chicago Tribune's Gregory Pratt writes.

Lightfoot is clearly not able to handle the job as Chicago's mayor. At the very least she should announce that she will not run for a second term. Actually, an even better response would be to resign.

Harris snaps at reporter for asking when she will go to the border, won’t say when she will visit

Joe Biden's choice of Kamala Harris as his running mate is additional proof of his cognitive declice. She's not qualified to be vice president--let alone president.

Harris, who was appointed months ago, by either Biden or whoever is pulling his strings, to be in charge of the border crisis, refuses to say when she will vist the southern border.

Again, this time by Univision's Ilia Calderón, she was asked when she will visit the border. This time, with a bit of a giggle thrown in, Harris snapped at the reporter, "I'm not finished."

Inflation soared in May at rate higher than expected

Welcome back Carter.

Inflation is back thanks to the reckless spending of Joe Biden and the Democrats.

From CNBC:
Consumer prices for May accelerated at their fastest pace in nearly 13 years as inflation pressures continued to build in the U.S. economy, the Labor Department reported Thursday.
The consumer price index, which represents a basket including food, energy, groceries, housing costs and sales across a spectrum of goods, rose 5% from a year ago. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had been expecting a gain of 4.7%.
The reading represented the biggest CPI gain since the 5.3% increase in August 2008, just before the worst of the financial crisis sent the U.S. spiraling into the worst recession it had seen since the Great Depression.

Confused Joe Biden claims "COVID deaths are up" (they’re not)

Squinty Joe said in his tortured explanation about the latest jobs numbers--which are bad--that COVID-19 deaths are up. No, they're down.

May jobs report falls short of expectations

The Joe Biden economy continues to disappoint.

From Fox Business:

U.S. employers added fewer than expected jobs last month as extended unemployment benefits encouraged workers to stay home.
Employers added 559,000 jobs in May, the Labor Department said Friday, missing the addition of 650,000 jobs that analysts surveyed by Refinitiv were expecting. April’s reading was revised higher by 12,000 to 278,000.
The unemployment rate, meanwhile, declined 0.3 percentage points to 5.8%, its lowest since the pandemic caused businesses to shut their doors in March 2020.
Despite the gains, the U.S. economy has 7.6 million, or 5%, fewer workers from its February 2020 pre-pandemic level.

Oklahoma names portion of highway after Trump

I've been to this part of Oklahoma--the panhandle is underrated. And now I have another reason to visit.

From The Hill:

The Hill Former President Trump is set to have a portion of an Oklahoma highway named after him with a new bill signed into law by Gov. Kevin Stitt (R).

The bill designates a section of State Highway 287 from Oklahoma's Boise City southeast to the Oklahoma-Texas border as "President Donald J. Trump Highway."

Lawmakers removed a previous provision in the legislation, first proposed in the Oklahoma state Senate, that required a person be deceased for three years before a portion of the highway can be named after them.

Illinois General Assembly passes bill to make Juneteenth its thirteenth paid holiday for state workers

How many paid holidays do you get each year?

If you work--or perform what passes for work--in as a state of Illinois employee you get twelve. Soon it will be thirteen as Governor JB Pritzker, a Democrat, won't pass up an opportunity for virtue signaling.

Yes, of course slavery was evil and the end of it in America, brought about by the Union army of which two of my ancestors served in, should  be celebrated.

But Illinois, because of its out-of-control pension debt, is bankrupt-in-name-only. Taxpayers can't afford another paid day off for state workers.

More from ABC Chicago:
Illinois is closer to making Juneteenth a state holiday.

Legislation making June 19 a paid day off for all state employees and a school holiday was unanimously approved by the Illinois House last week and by the state Senate last month. It states that if June 19 falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the holiday will be observed the following Monday. The measure would take effect immediately if Gov. J.B. Pritzker signs it.

Juneteenth commemorates the date in 1865 when the last enslaved Black people in the U.S. learned from Union soldiers in Texas that they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. The day is also known as Emancipation Day and Freedom Day.

3 dead and at least 29 others wounded over Memorial Day weekend in Chicago

Summer traditionally begins on Memorial Day weekend--and the warmest season is also the deadliest in Chicago.

Days off were cancelled for Chicago police officers and they were placed on 12-hour shifts.

Over this holiday weekend three people were shot to death and at least 29 others wounded.

But over the year shootings are up 36 percent over 2020.

As for police-involved shootings in 2021 according to Hey Jackass! there have been three people shot to death and six others wounded.
