John Entwistle - Boris the Spider (Yokohama Arena, Japan, 26 September 1990)

For The Who's second album, A Quick One, bassist John Entwistle contributed two songs, one of them is perhaps his best-known composition, "Boris the Spider."

Here is "the Ox" on a solo tour performing--with backup vocalists doubling as interpretive dancers--that tune in Yokohama, Japan.

Mark Dice: Debate Disaster! Media Meltdown! - Biden to Drop Out? - Total Panic in Democrat Party! Whoa!

Mark Dice is right. Joe Biden united America last night because "he completely humiliated himself" in his debate with the once and future president, Donald J. Trump.

Greg Kelly: It's a Biden family affair and Joe's many home refinancings

Joe Biden owns two homes.

One has been refinanced 20 times, the other 35.

"Who does that?"

That's what Greg Kelly of Newsmax is asking.

So should everyone else.

'The Five': The 'Squad' suffers an 'alarming defeat'

US Rep. Jamaal "Fire Alarm" Bowman (D-NY), a male member of the far-left Squad, suffered a humiliating defeat in yesterday's Democratic Primary.

The Jew-hater will probably migrate to MSNBC, where he can continue his work in destroying America.

36 shot over weekend in Chicago, five of them killed, of those shot five were under 18 and two of them died

In the land of the no-cash bail SAFE-T Act, Illinois, particularly its largest city, Chicago, violence is the norm.

Over this past weekend--and I suspect I'll be updating these totals--36 people were shot and eight of the victims died. Behind its paywall, the Chicago Tribune is reporting that of those struck by gunfire, five were under 18, including two of the fatalities.

Van Morrison: Evening in June

Van Morrison is a lover of nature and the outdoors.

He reminds us here in "Evening in June," a stellar cut from his jazz and blues influenced album, "What's Wrong with this Picture."

This one is a jazzy track.

Frying Pan Frenzy: Chicago man thwarts burglary at Logan Square home

A Chicago man chased a burglar out of his home with a frying pan. The perpetrator was subdued and under arrest.

The homeowner lives in Logan Square, where a socialist, Daniel La Spata, is the alderperson. I don't know if this incident occurred in La Spata's 1st Ward, but the irony--or iron-ee--will be rich, as the leftist City Council member favors the do-nothing "root causes" approach to law enforcement.

The homeowner favors a more immediate approach.

Jesse Watters: Dems are descending into a ‘left-wing meltdown’

While I am not as confident that the end is near for the Biden Democrats as Jesse Watters is, perhaps he is right and I'm wrong.

Mark Dice on Biden: They're getting very worried

The mainstream media in panicking over Joe Biden's senility.

On a very hot day many Chicago cooling centers are closed because of Juneteenth

A few days ago, as a heat wave was about to hit Chicago, municipal officials touted the many cooling centers available to the vulnerable population.

Today is Juneteenth, a federal, state, and municipal holiday.

I'm working today, but they's another story. Also not taking today off is the aforementioned heat wave.

Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-90s. And many of these cooling centers are close because of Juneteenth.

From the Chicago Sun-Times:
“It’s extremely alarming that we are shrinking our cooling centers in the middle of a heat wave,” said state Rep. Lindsey LaPointe, who represents Chicago’s Northwest Side and advocates for the homeless and other vulnerable populations.
This week, the city established six cooling centers for those who need to escape the dangerous temperatures because they don’t have air conditioning and are susceptible to heat-induced illness.
On Wednesday, only one of those centers, the Garfield Community Service Center at 10 S. Kedzie Ave., will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. despite another forecast for an extremely hot day.
City officials have also advised people to seek shelter at Chicago’s more than 80 public libraries this week, but all those locations will be closed for the day as well.

Happy Juneteenth! Fortunately, Chicago Park District buildings will be open.

Oh, why are Chicago's public libraries closed on holidays? On--sorry if you are woke--minor holidays like Juneteenth, Chicago's libraries should be open.

White House Press Secretary assures everyone viral Biden freeze video is "fake"

If the geezer Biden videos are manipulated and fake, as Joe Biden's hapless and dishonest press secretary says, then how are they not real?

She doesn't say.

At least 62 shot over weekend in Chicago, including 10 dead, 13-year-old boy among slain

Another very violent weekend in Chicago has passed. As of Monday morning, 46 people were recorded as shot in Chicago, seven of the victims are dead.

Among the slain is a 13-year-old boy who was killed Friday night in North Lawndale on the West Side.

These figures come from the quite reliable Hey Jackass.

The Democratic National Convention will convene in Chicago in two months. The city isn't ready

The Biden family has been taking advantage of Joe's position for decades

Rep. Byron Donalds talks about the Biden crime family.

Hey, at least the Corleone Family in The Godfather, with olive oil, attempted to look legitimate.
The Bidens don't even try.

Their business is influence peddling.

At least 45 shot and 8 killed over weekend in Chicago

Chicago's first summer under the no-cash bail SAFE-T Act continues to be a bloody one.

Over the past weekend eight people were shot to death and Chicago and at least 37 others were wounded.

It's a big jump over last weekend, when two people were killed and 17 others wounded.

The Cure - The Caterpillar

The cicada-clypse is still cursing  blessing the Chicago area.

So of course, I'm continuing my recent theme of insect-related musical postings.

Here's the Cure with "The Caterpillar."

Mark Dice: Old Joe caused quite a stir

The short explanation is that Joe Biden probably didn't take a dump in his pants during the D-Day commemoration yesterday in France.

But the mainstream media, Mark Dice tells us, still managed to look foolish.

Bob Dylan - Day of the Locusts (Official Audio)

As northern Illinois continues to revel in cicada mania and the emergence of Brood XIII. So, I continue my spell of insect related tunes with Bob Dylan's "Day of the Locusts."

Wrongly, cicadas are sometimes called locusts, but cicadas are a different species.

The backstory of this song, which is the second cut on Dylan's album from 1970, New Morning, is that Dylan was at Princeton University, where he was to receive an honorary degree. But Bob didn't enjoy that experience but was he much more enthusiastic about the singing for Brood X of the 17-year cicadas.
And the locusts sang off in the distance
Yeah, the locusts sang such a sweet melody
Oh, the locusts sang off in the distance
Yeah, the locusts sang, and they were singing for me.
The Brood XIII locusts are singing here. It's beautiful.
