Mark Dice: Wrong again, Rachel

The clown princess of fake news is Rachel Maddow, also known as "Roswell Rachel" and Rachel Madcow.

A little over two weeks ago Madcow scoffed at President Trump's vow to have the US Navy hospital ship in New York in a week. She claimed it would be weeks. Well, Trump got the ship into the Hudson River in ten days.

Two killed and 18 wounded over weekend in Chicago

It's not just people on the Chicago lakefront who are violating Illinois' shelter-in-place order. Violent criminals are too. Over the weekend two people were shot to death and another 18 others were wounded.

Both of the slain were teens.

Everly Brothers sing "Mama Tried" live on the Ed Sullivan Show

Arguably the Americana genre of music was born in 1968. The Band cut Music From Big Pink. The Byrds released Sweetheart Of The Rodeo.

And a lesser-known album by the Everly Brothers was issued in '68. It's called Roots.

Here's the opening track of that classic album, a cover of Merle Haggard's "Mama Tried."

Democrats: Placing Politics Over People

The country is in crisis. But that doesn't stop the Democrats from pushing their leftist agenda by stuffing junk into the coronavirus economic rescue bill that has nothing, and I mean nothing, to do with COVID-19 and its effects.

Liberals want to add leftist goodies on to coronavirus aid bill

Liberals believe, to use Rahm Emanuel's words, that a crisis never should go to waste. Which is why Democrats in Congress are trying to add a leftist goody bag onto the coronavirus aid bill.

From James S. Robbins in USA Today:
The 1119-page bill is Christmas in March for liberal special interests. It imposes racial and gender pay equity provisions, diversity on corporate boards, increased use of minority-owned banks by federal offices, and a grab-bag of other diversity-themed requirements. It increases the collective bargaining power for unions and cancels all the debt owed by the U.S. Postal Service to the U.S. Treasury. For the global warming crowd there are increased fuel emission standards and required carbon offsets for airlines, plus tax credits for alternative energy programs. For the kids there is a provision for student loan payment deferment, and for the education bureaucrats who overcharge them a $9.5 billion giveaway to colleges and universities. It gives $100 million to juvenile justice programs, and suspends various aspects of enforcement of immigration laws.

Perhaps the most troubling sections of the bill are under the rubric ‘‘American Coronavirus/COVID–19 Election Safety and Security” or ‘‘ACCESS” Act. This section would impose requirements on states for early voting, voting by mail, required mailing of absentee ballots to everyone, ballot harvesting (i.e., having third parties deliver absentee ballots), online voter registration, same-day registration and other practices which undermine confidence in the integrity of the ballot. In these days of increasing threats to election security we should be moving rapidly back to in-person paper ballots, but this bill would be a radical step in the wrong direction.

Mark Dice on the coronavirus: Oh No!

Mark Dice comments on the latest about COVID-19.

Despite shelter-in-place order, 1 dead and nine wounded in Chicago over weekend

Because of the coronavirus outbreak there is a shelter-in-place order in Illinois. But that doesn't stop the lawbreakers of course. While shootings are down, people are still firing guns at each other.

Over the weekend there were ten shootings. One of them was fatal, a man was killed in Bridgeport, where such violence is rare, on the South Side.

CA governor orders statewide stay-at-home order

Good lord. Is your state next?

From the Sacramento Bee:
All Californians need to stay at home and avoid nonessential social contact to slow the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic, Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered Thursday.

“It’s time for all of us to recognize as individuals and as a community we need to do more to meet this moment,” he said at an evening press conference.

Newsom said he hopes not to have to enforce the order, instead encouraging Californians to influence one another to do the right thing.

“I don’t believe the people of California need to be told through law enforcement to home isolate, protect themselves,” he said.

Kim Foxx, Jussie Smollett's enabler, survives primary challenge

Kim Foxx, the Cook County state's attorney who stupidly dropped the charges surrounding the hate crime hoax of Jussie Smollett, survived a Democratic primary challenge yesterday.

Her primary opponent was Bill Conway, who had a lot of money but little common sense. He didn't challenge the leftist on her refusal to prosecute shoplifters who are accused of stealing merchandise worth less than $1,000. Not surprisingly, there is a surge in shoplifting in Chicago and the suburbs.

Pat O'Brien is the Republican nominee this fall for state's attorney. Vote law and order. Vote O'Brien. Here's one key part of his platform: "Enforce the criminal statutes, as written, not with political agendas."

Click here to contribute to O'Brien's campaign.

Left turn: Marie Newman defeats pro-life Democratic congressman Dan Lipinski in Illinois

The leftist party became a little more leftist yesterday as challenger Marie Newman defeated incumbent Dan Lipinksi in the Democratic Party for Illinois' third congressional district.

I always had mixed feelings about Lipinski. On the other hand my late mother, who lived in the district, loved him. I could never completely let go of the sleazy way his father, Bill, then the congressman, essentially bequeathed the seat to Dan in 2004 after he won the Democratic renomination that year.

Dan turned out to be a true independent voice in Congress. He is one of the few anti-abortion Democrats in Congress and he voted against ObamaCare in 2010. Best of all, Lipinski refused to endorse Obama for re-election in 2012.

Newman, who came close to toppling Lipinski two years ago, was greatly aided by outside money and the prominent leftist public officials.

The House of Representatives will be a diminished body without him.

Biden: “No more, no new fracking” in my administration

Fracking has turned America into an energy powerhouse for the first time in decades. Gasoline is relatively expensive.

Fake conservative Jennifer Rubin claims there will be fewer Democrat coronavirus deaths

The Washington Post's Jennifer Rubin, who calls herself a conservative, is as much of a conservative as I am a ballerina. She's a total whack job in addition to being a liar. Yesterday on an MSNBC show Rubin said that there will be fewer coronovirus deaths for Democrats because unlike Republicans, she believes that Dems are following the suggestions from the media and the experts about avoiding the virus.

Small Faces - Tin Soldier

Not all of the great 1960s British bands enjoyed stardom in America. The Move comes to mind. So do the Small Faces. It's leader was Steve Marriott, who later formed Humble Pie. What was left of Small Faces evolved into Faces, which counted Rod Stewart as a member. The drummer for both groups, Kenney Jones, later joined the Who.

Here are the Small Faces belting out "Tin Soldier."

Exclusive: AOC blames Bernie's lackluster performance on voter suppression

When leftists fail--and that happens a lot--they never blame their policies or their candidates. Shockingly Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez agreed to be interviewed by Bret Baier. When he asked AOC about Bernie Sanders' poor support in Democratic primaries, the "fresh face" of the Democratic Party blamed it on "voter suppression."

That means AOC's party is guilty of that.

Confused and angry Biden gets in tense exchange with worker over gun rights: "You're full of sh**"

Joe Biden isn't up for a presidential campaign let alone serving as president.

Watch as a confused but angry Gramps Biden swears at a Detroit voter, "You're full of shit," over his charge that the former vice president wants to confiscate guns. While it's true Biden didn't say that he wants to--as far as we know--he vows to put Pete Buttigieg, who favors gun grabbing, in charge of gun control.

The unsteady Biden also mistakes the Second Amendment for the First. And Biden claims he supports the Second Amendment he tells the Detroiter, "Guess what? You’re not allowed to own any weapon. I’m not taking your gun away at all."

Elizabeth Warren dropping out

We won't be hearing that annoying squeaky voice as much now. Nevertheless she didn't persist.

Elizabeth Warren is dropping out of the presidential race.

She never had a chance. Her phony claim of having Native American ancestry, which likely served her well as she moved up in academia, led to her being mocked as "Pocahontas" by President Trump and others.

Two years ago the senior Biden bragged that he got a prosecutor in Ukraine fired who was said to be looking at corruption involving Burisma.
