Rauner wins Crain's Chicago Business endorsement

This morning Crain's Chicago Business, which despite its name has also endorsed Democrats for governor, today urged its readers to vote for Republican businessman Bruce Rauner to be the next person to lead Illinois.

The endorsement is behind a paywall, but this is how it kicks off:
Bruce Rauner is the best candidate to pull the Illinois economy out of its low-growth rut. For that reason, above others, he gets Crain's nod over incumbent Gov. Pat Quinn.
And Illinois is indeed in a rut.

Rauner's Crain's nod is the second major media endorsement for him. On Sunday the Daily Herald, Illinois' third most-read newspaper, put its weight behind Rauner
