Ignore Obama: You should listen to bloggers

No Barrycades at Arch Rock

Among other things, President Obama said this during his post-government shutdown speech yesterday: "...all of us need to stop focusing on the lobbyists, and the bloggers, and the talking heads on radio and the professional activists who profit from conflict, and focus on what the majority of Americans sent us here to do, and that's grow this economy."

Well, for starters, Obama has had nearly six years to bolster the American economy--he's been a miserable failure in this task.

But bloggers must be getting on Obama's nerves--because he is whining about them.

Good.

The goonery of the National Park Service was a blog-driven story--with a huge assist from the Twitter aggregate site Twitchy. It was bloggers who first screamed about the audacity of the Barrycades preventing WWII veterans from visiting the World War II Memorial--an open air monument overseen by the NPS. Bloggers, yes, including yours truly, scoured local media to find other outrages that the national mainstream media wouldn't cover.

Bloggers report the news that the Obama-loving media refuses to cover.
