Less than a year ago, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said it would be "foolish" to offer a budget. Two months ago he opined, "We do not need to bring a budget to the floor this year — it's done, we don't need to do it."
It's been 1,070 days since Reid's Senate passed a budget.
Last night Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, told Fox News' Greta Van Sustern that she expects the Senate to pass a budget.
"I'd ask that you stipulate that the Senate should take up a budget," Wasserman Schultz said, "and I expect that they will."
When confronted by the host about Reid's refusal to pass a budget in the chamber he controls, the Floridian countered, "That's simply not true," adding, "I expect the Senate to take up a budget."
Dems...you not only need to pass a budget, but you need to get your stories straight.
There's a fine budget that the House passed last week, one drafted by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI).
