One day Occupy rally in Sacramento costs taxpayers $166,000 in cop overtime

While $166,000 in police overtime doesn't seem to be a lot of money--compared to the $3.7 million spent on cop overtime in Oakland--the first figure only covers a one day Occupy rally in Sacramento.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers had to keep an eye on the unruly demonstrators at the state capitol on March 5--72 occupiers were arrested.

There were over 100 cops at the rally--many of them on horseback or in riot gear.

Yep. just like the Tea Party.

Just kidding.

And it's not that cash-strapped California can afford it
