Chrysler, the beneficiary of a massive pro-labor union bailout that upended federal bankruptcy law, ran a commercial during halftime of yesterday's Super Bowl with Clint Eastwood, who lauded the comeback of the Detroit auto industry.
Oh, does anyone believe that we'll ever collect all of the money the Obama White House sunk into Chrysler and General Motors?
During that spot, Eastwood declared it was "halftime." Halftime of the Super Bowl or of Obama's two terms in office?
While I still admire Eastwood, who I believe is still a Republican, he deserves a knockdown for backing the crony capitalist, which is why I posted the first half of his guest appearance on Mr. Ed in the early 1960s.
For the uninitiated, Mr. Ed was a talking horse. Watch as Ed humiliates "the Squint." Eastwood makes his entrance at the five minute mark.
Watch Part Two where Eastwood attempts to ride the stubborn golden palomino.
