Antoin "Tony" Rezko, a key figure in President Obama's rise from obscurity--he offered Obama a job while he was still in law school--was sentenced to 10 1/2 years in prison for his fraud and money laundering crimes.
I have much more on Rezko and Obama in the related posts.
As for Rezko, the onetime Wilmette influence peddler's felonies were committed while he was since-disgraced Governor Rod Blagojevich's "fixer."
Meanwhile, the Chicago Tribune reporter, Annie Sweeney, who is covering Rezko, is still omitting his close ties to the president.
