Upper deck shakes during Paul McCartney concert at Wrigley Field

I just returned home from the Paul McCartney concert at Wrigley Field on Chicago's North Side. I'll have more later today about the show. Here's the quick skinny tonight: During "Get Back," which was played during Macca's first encore, the upper deck--where Little Marathon Pundit and I were sitting--was noticeably shaking. It felt like a minor earthquake. Many people were dancing during the performance of the rocker from Let it Be. On the el train ride home--my car was filled with concertgoers--other people who sat in the upper deck said they felt it vibrate too.

Wrigley was built for the Chicago Whales baseball team of the defunct Federal League in 1914. Rock concerts were decades in the future.

Arena shows are a new phenomenon at Wrigley. Jimmy Buffet--a mellow performer--played at the home of the Cubs last summer. Buffet's "parrotheads" sway.

Oh, last night's show was great. McCartney performs at Wrigley Field again this evening.
