Glenn & Helen Show podcast: Libertarian Paternalism

Time for a nudge sundae. University of Chicago professor Cass Sunstein is the latest guest on the Glenn & Helen Show. He is the co-author, along with fellow U of C professor Richard Thaler, of Nudge: Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth, and Happiness.

They promote a belief in "Libertarian Paternalism," in which people are nudged, instead of coerced--ala "The Nanny State," into making the best choices for themselves.

Sunstein is a onetime colleague of Barack Obama. As far as "Libertarian Paternalism," Sunstein thinks Hillary Clinton follows it the least.

Instapundit's Glenn Reynolds and his wife, Dr. Helen Smith, are the Glenn & Helen Show.

Listen to or download the podcast here. Or do what I do, download it for free at iTunes, and listen to it during a 10 mile run. (Okay, maybe you can skip the last part.)
