River of gold

After encountering this view of the North Branch of the Chicago River in Niles, in the Bunker Hill Woods Forest Preserve, I think it would be worth my time panning for gold there tomorrow.

Today was the warmest day in at least a couple of months, it reached 50 degrees today, but there is quite a bit of snow still left on the ground.

I captured this photograph during my ten-mile run this afternoon, it was nice to run in shorts again.
