Illinois Democrats aren't just limited to Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders when the vote in the primary here in March. Dr. Willie Wilson, a Chicagoan, is running too, despite his underwhelming performance as a mayoral candidate last year.

CBS News' Scott Pelley interviewed Hillary Clinton tonight and and in a reply to her statement about her trying to level with the American people, Pelley shot back. "You talked about leveling with the American people, have you always told the truth?"

HRC's answer was, "I've always tried to...always...always."

Pelley pressed her and she never really answered his question and couldn't promised that we won't lie.

On the positive side Clinton made some funny faces in the interview.

Today the Jesuit Pope questioned Donald Trump's Christianity over his plan to build a wall on the Mexican border.

Nevada was viewed as a firewall for Clinton's declining fortunes.

Un-American: Obama will skip Scalia's funeral but visit Cuba in March

President Obama will not attend the funeral for Justice Antonin Scalia on Saturday. The last sitting member of the US Supreme Court to pass away was Chief Justice William Rehnquist in 2005--and President George W. Bush was at his funeral.

However, Obama will visit communist Cuba next month.

Scalia's funeral will be held at the opulent Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, which is just three miles from the White House.

Obama has been stamping his feet like Rumpelstiltskin over his desire to appoint Scalia's replacement and not leave the selection to his successor.

Hillary Clinton, who along with her husband and daughter operates the slush fund known as the Clinton Foundation, said that Illinois's reform governor, Republican Bruce Rauner, will return the Land of Lincoln to "the robber barons of the 19th century."

Twelve years of Democratic misrule by Chicago Democrats Rod Blagojevich and Pat Quinn drove Illinois into the abyss.

Rahm's leftist opponent headlines Chicago Bernie Sanders office opening

With the Illinois Primary a month away the presidential race is creeping into the Land of Lincoln. Which is why openly-socialist Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders is opening his first office here today. Headlining the May Day in February event will be Jesus "Chuy" Garcia, Rahm Emanuel's leftist opponent in last year's mayoral election. Another leftist, longtime liberal gadfly Clem Balanoff is Sanders' Illinois campaign director.

Expected to attend is Ald. John Arena (45th), whose Bungalow Belt constituents are decidedly non-socialist.
