Blagojevich's wife makes plea to Trump

Some friends of mine, yes conservative ones, believe that the 14-year corruption sentence for former Democratic governor Rod Blagojevich is too long. Even Fox News' Tucker Carlson allude to that on his show last night.

More on Tucker later.

Blago's judge got it right, in my opinion. Even in graft-infested ILL-inois, public officials should be held to a hire standard. Besides, Blagojevich should know the law, after all, he's a former assistant Cook County state's attorney.

Yesterday the US Supreme Court denied what appears to be Blago's final appeal, which means he'll remain in prison for another six years, assuming he continues his good behavior behind bars. He's already served that much time in federal custody.

Last night Carlson interviewed Blago's wife, Patti. That's an interesting choice of interviewers, my guess is that she knows that President Trump watches Carlson's show.

Blago is a onetime contestant on Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice. Patti is placing her hope in a pardon from the president.

Here's the Patti clip.
