Blue State malfeasance is reaping its bitter harvest.
From WAND-TV:
The Illinois Department of Employment Security has announced that Illinois' unemployment rate has slightly risen to 6.5 percent.
The state's unemployment rate increased 0.1 percent to 6.5 percent in March 2016, according to data released from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and IDES. Officials also say the state saw the addition of 14,700 jobs in March.
IDES Director Jeff Mays says Illinois' over-the-year growth rate still falls short in comparison to the rest of the nation, even though the state saw job growth during March. “Monthly employment numbers are volatile but in order to see true and robust job growth, we need more effective policies in place to help Illinois recover its employment peak," says Mays.
