On this day in 1915: Turks begin Armenian genocide

Ninety-eight years ago today the
Armenian Genocide
began in Constantinople. Over one million Armenian Christians were murdered by Ottoman Empire Muslims. Turkey, the successor state to the empire,
refuses to admit the genocide even occurred.
Just as with the Holocaust, we must never forget--despite Turkey's hope that we will.
