White House blog argues that jobless rate is 'only' 8.254%, not 8.3%

As it does every month, in a blog post the White House dismissed another month with an unemployment rate over 8 percent by stating "[i]t is important not to read too much into any one monthly report."

But now it's getting silly: "The household survey showed that the unemployment rate ticked up to 8.3% in July (or, more precisely, the rate rose from 8.217% in June to 8.254% in July)."

Wow...the regime is quibbling over 1/1000th of a percent. How pathetic.

Absent from that post is that 150,000 Americans left the workforce last month.
