Edwards not guilty on one count, jury deadlocked on five others

John Edwards, one of the most loathsome politicians on the planet, was found not guilty on one count--and the jury was deadlocked on the other five.

The one he prevailed on was the charge that he accepted from then-nonagenarian Rachel "Bunny" Mellon.

He's expected to make a statement soon--and it sure as hell better include an apology to his misguided supporters who wanted him to become president.
