Obama doesn't issue Easter message, attends service at race-based church

Rev. Wright's Trinity United
Church of Christ
President Obama has issued White House proclamations for every major Muslim holiday, but somehow didn't do that for Good Friday or Easter this year.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney mocked reporters when the questioned the omission, while mentioning that the president attended Easter services at Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington on Sunday.

But what about that church? Rev. Wallace Smith is the senior pastor there, and it appears that of all the churches in our nation's capital, Obama chose to attend one headed by a Reverend Jeremiah Wright clone. Besides the Obama's, another guest at the church was Smith's four-week old grandson.

A pool reporter noted Smith's comments about the baby's first church service:

[Pastor Smith] talked about how his baby grandson's gurgling is actually "talking" because he is saying "I am here . . . they tried to write me off as 3/5 a person in the Constitution, but I am here right now . . . and is saying I am not going to let anybody from stopping me from being what God wants me to be."
A baby gurgles about racism? Uh, no.

Last year, Smith stoked the flames of racism.

The incendiary part comes towards the end.

Anytime you can have the kind of hate-mongering that continues in the hallowed halls of talk radio it show that Barack's presidency has not solved the problem.

Now Jim Crow wears blue pinstripes … and he doesn't have to wear white robes anymore, because now he can wear the protective cover of talk radio, or can get a regular news program on Fox. He doesn't have to wear his white garments anymore.

Even such venerable saints as Rush Limbaugh know the lines they are not to cross. But any of their constituency can hear clear the same vile filth spewing forth in their statements that was once the purview of Robert Shelton [a notorious Klan leader] and members of the Ku Klux Klan and the White Citizen's Council.
Two years ago Shiloh Baptist hosted an anti-Israel event.

Obama did release an Easter proclamation that included greetings to Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, and atheists. Whoah...Easter is Christianity's holiest day. Did Obama reach out to agnostics in his Islam proclamations?
