But as Barack Obama supporters will quickly point out, not having much much of a past is a selling point for their guy.
The New Mexico Democrat is expected to announce on Sunday that he's forming an exploratory committee for his expected 2008 presidential run.
Back to that résumé: Four decades back, Bill Richardson padded his and the fib was caught only a little more than a year ago. He claimed that he had been drafted by the Kansas City Athletics baseball team in the annual MLB player draft.
But it never happened.
His explanation on how he thought he had been drafted was Kerry-esque.
