Double Arch

I just can't leave Arches National Park without a some more pictures of arches. Double Arch gets its name, well, you know why if you look at the picture on the left.

As for Turret Arch, could it be because the formations look like gun turrets? There are two window arches in the park--I mean, pretty lame to name an arch "Window Arch." I mean, of course you can see through them. Pictured is North Window Arch.

Each of these arches is located in the Fiery Furnace section of the park. Now that's a better name, don't you think?

There's a website called Draugiem.lv popular among Latvians, including Mrs. Marathon Pundit. She wrote about her recollections about this same trip, which you can find here. Free registration is required. Oh, it's in Latvian. But the pictures are great. She's had over 1,000 hits and is quite proud of her work. And so am I.
