Large-flowered coreopsis

Among the many daisies in a small meadow off of Dempster in Morton Grove's Linne Woods were a couple of large-flowered coreopsis blossoms. Like daisies, coreopsis are members of the aster family.

And like their white cousins, coreospis are gardeners' favorites.
