Madison union protest costs to Wisconsin almost $6 million

When the public-sector union-led protesters descended upon Madison, Wisconsin, the catchphrase among the leftists was "This is what Democracy looks like."

Apparently Democracy ain't cheap. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel says the bills are still coming in from the scrum of protests at Wisconsin's state capitol--and it's almost at $6 million.

In a perfect world the public-sector unions would pay every penny of these unanticipated expenses. Do they have the money? Well, they managed to come up with more than $5 million to elect Democrat Pat Quinn governor of Illinois.

Coincidentally, or perhaps not coincidentally, the flee-bagging Wisconsin Democratic state senate senators chose Illinois as their refuge while they shirked their duties.
