Kansas and Ward Churchill
First a little good news from Greensburg, Kansas. The grocery chain Dillon's has decided to rebuild in the devastated town. It's hard for a town to exist without an even modest size grocery store.
Thanks, Dillion's.
I'm leaving Morton Grove after my group run tomorrow. News to watch for next week include the long-deserved career scalping of F-Troop Indian Ward Churchill on Tuesday. I'll be somewhere near the Mountain Time zone when that comes down, blogging on my battle-tested Treo 650.
Keep an eye on friend-of-the blog Pirate Ballerina for updates on this story. If you prefer to visit pro-Ward Churchill sites, you can check out Try-Works, or St. Xavier University Professor Peter N. Kirstein's blog.
As for the latter, he's very pro-free speech, but has much less to say on such rights of those to the left of him--which probably amounts to 95 percent of the population. Yes, I did read his Stephen Plaut post.
Try Works, or at least one of them, are big Johnny Cash fans. There's good in everyone.
E-mail me if something is hot. If you're from Kansas, and want to be interviewed by a right wing nut and a fourth-generation Chicago resident, I can be contacted at john.ruberry@sbcglobal.net. I'll be checking my e-mail from one of my wireless devices.
Of if you want, you can interview me.
