Payback for dishonesty: We need to "Kaepernick" the mainstream media

The media isn't just biased, it's dishonest and actively choosing sides in this year's presidential election. Unless you've been living in a cave without internet access, you of course know that most of the mainstream media is essentially the communications wing of the Democratic Party. The worst offenders are the Washington Post and the New York Times. These publications aren't for the most part aren't represented by journalists, they're overrun with left-wing colluding propagandists. Although their writers and the editors have believed their own lies for so long they've deluded themselves into believing they are, to use Fox News' slogan, fair and balanced.

No way.

Last week the Post's Drew Harwell wrote about the double-digit decline in NFL televison ratings, which most observant and open-minded people attribute to some extent to the refusing-to-stand-for-the-National Anthem protests by San Fransisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and some of his fellow wealthy NFL players. But Harwell, a hardened leftist based on his Twitter feed, didn't even mention those protests in his analysis, which have angered millions. He's being dishonest or he is completely clueless.

But the justified furor over Kaerpernick gives me an idea.

This is how I believe patriots should confront the dishonest media. Don't visit their websites, don't buy their papers, don't watch their programs. Kaepernick them. Starve them.

You have righteous power. Use it.

If you are a news junkie, there are plenty of other information sources available to you. This blog is one of them. Fox News, Breitbart, and the Daily Caller are some others.

As for the Hillary Clinton supporters reading this post, you may laugh, shrug your shoulders, or shout at me over my fury. After all, doesn't the end justify the means? But power in the hands of an irresponsible elite is a dangerous and unpredictable thing. This spring the Democrats were squabbling over the direction of their party. Four years from now, during the next presidential campaign, that struggle, which is in hibernation now, might explode into a political civil war.

Then some of you Democrats may be angry about the media shaping rather than reporting the news.

And calling for a boycott of the mainstream media.
