24 Detroit schools closed in another illegal sick-out

Yesterday 64 public schools in Detroit were closed because hundreds of teachers called in sick. No, bubonic plague hasn't struck the Motor City with a teacher-only illness. These so-called educators called in sick in a strike move, even though teacher strikes are illegal in Michigan.

That sick-out closed more than half of DPS schools.

Today two dozen Detroit schools are closed in another cough-cough sick-out. Steve Conn, a leftist who was ousted as president of the Detroit Federation of Teachers for misconduct, is the force behind the sick-outs. Prosecutors should be considering racketeering charges against him.
