From the BBC:
An unidentified attacker in a car shot Mr. Nemtsov four times in the back as he crossed a bridge in view of the Kremlin, police say.His fears were well founded.
He died hours after appealing for support for a march on Sunday in Moscow against the war in Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned the murder, the Kremlin says.
In a recent interview, Mr Nemtsov had said he feared Mr Putin would have him killed because of his opposition to the war in Ukraine.

But Obama is no soul-gazer, like Shrub was. Obama has to rely on relevant intelligence and political reality. Soul-gazing was always Shrub's forte, which is why he was surrounded by so many soul men, like Turd-Blossom, Rummy, Dick (his parents didn't name him until he was 15 to be sure they got it right)Cheney, Scooter (is he out of prison yet?), Condi and all the neo-cons, who all did such a bang-up job, the Saud Royalty, and, of course, the aforementioned soul-mate Putin. All soul-certified by the Gazer himself!
