Veterans Day 2014: Morton Grove's Doughboy Monument

Although we didn't enter the conflict until 1917, this year is an especially poignant Veterans Day because the rememberance evolved from Armistice Day, which ended World War I. And 100 years ago the Great War started.

Here in Morton Grove the Doughboy Monument remembers the soldiers and sailors of the village who fought to advance freedom.

This picture was taken on Veterans Day afternoon.
