A return to $4 prices for a gallon of gasoline in the Chicago suburbs is a rotten Easter egg for our basket. This price jump shouldn't be a surprise, after all, our anti-energy Luddite president continues to dither about whether to approve the Keystone XL pipeline, which will transport oil from our friends in Canada and lessen our dependence on imports from hostile nations.

High gasoline prices hurt the poor the most, the very people whose interests Obama and his fellow Democrats purport to champion.
