Doyle was replaced by Republican reform governor Scott Walker. Which brings us to the next picture, which was snapped five months ago.
Clearly there are some differences with the two photographs, which were taken at different spots north of the Illinois border. Besides the snow in the first and my presence in the second, what else is different?
In my picture there is no mention of Walker--below "Wisconsin Welcomes You," it reads "Open for Business." Up on top the pic reads instead "Jim Doyle, Governor."
Walker has his priorities right.
Illinois has the second-highest unemployment rate in the Midwest at 8.9 percent. In the Badger State--it's just 6.5 percent, which is lower than the national average.
Wisconsin really is open for business.
