(Video) Tea Party Express in South Elgin, IL: Lloyd Marcus sings "2012"

This evening I attended the Tea Party Express Winning for America rally in South Elgin, Illinois. The cold and the rain might have hurt the turnout, but everyone who attended, except for the sole pro-Obama protester, had an enjoyable time.

While TPX rallies are political events, there is music as well.

Lloyd Marcus, one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, performed "2012," where the man who says he is an American--not an African-American--expressed his wish that we have a new president and a Republican Senate after November 6.

He also told the assembled patriots, "Folks, look! I have a photo ID!" He added, "So this confirms that the Congressional Black Caucus, the NAACP, and the Obama administration are wrong. Black people are not too stupid to find their way to acquire a photo ID!"

A Baltimore native, Marcus recalled when his father became a municipal firefighter--which was his family's ticket out of a government-mismanaged housing project. Unfortunately, other members of his family lived on welfare. "It destroyed them," he said.

Amy Kremer, the chair of the Tea Party Express, introduced Marcus.
