Former 'crucify' EPA big shot hired by Sierra Club

"Affordable Energy Means American Jobs"
As I've stated many times before in this space, today's Sierra Club is not your father's Sierra Club. It's now part of the far-left "social justice," Occupy Wall Street-loving universe.

I have more proof that the organization, which was founded by pioneering conservationalist John Muir, has gone off the deep end.

Al Armendariz, a former regional EPA head, described his management philosophy in regards to oil and gas companies this way in a meeting--while the cameras were rolling:
It is kind of like how the Romans used to conquer the villages in the Mediterranean — they'd go into a little Turkish town somewhere and they'd find the first five guys they saw and they’d crucify them. Then that town was really easy to manage for the next few years.
He was yet another of Obama's 'hope and change' bureaucrats.

Armendariz resigned, but has he landed on his feet--with the radical Sierra Club. He's now a senior representative with the group's 'Beyond Coal' campaign.

More from The Hill:
Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), who released the video of the meeting, mockingly offered his congratulations to Armendariz on Friday.

"Dr. Armendariz follows numerous Obama administration officials who have come from or moved to radical left and green groups," Inhofe said in a statement. "It's as if there is a revolving door between the White House and organizations such as the Sierra Club."

"At least at the Sierra Club he won't get into so much trouble for telling the truth that their true agenda is to kill oil, gas and coal," he added.
As for myself, I have this to say--we need more coal!
