Four months since Quinn welshed on Bears-Packers bet

Four months ago today Illinois Governor Pat Quinn was to don a Green Bay Packers jersey and volunteer at a Wisconsin food pantry. Quinn bet his Republican counterpart in Wisconsin, Scott Walker, over the outcome of the NFC championship game between the Packers and the Chicago Bears--Green Bay won.

But the Chicago Democrat backed out of his Washington's Birthday duty because of the Badger State's public-sector unions' protests against Governor Scott Walker's budget repair bill.

But that battle is over--the unions lost. Yet Quinn, who has collected over $5 million in public-sector union contributions, still hasn't honored his bet.

Welshed? You understand that's an ethnic slur, right?

  2. I've never met a person of Welsh-descent who complained about that term.
