AP is reporting that the United States is in possession of Bin Laden's body. DNA tests were used to confirm the identity of the corpse. CNN says that the beast was killed in a mansion outside the Pakistani capital of Islamabad.
"Isn't that wonderful news," is what a smiling Geraldo Rivera bellowed while hosting his Fox News show.
This is great news. For America, the world, and yes, it is good news for Muslims.
It is a day to remember that America is a source of good in the world.
And Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, and Pol Pot have welcomed Bin Laden to Hell.
But my thoughts turn to President Bush, who told the nation, "We will not waver; we will not tire; we will not falter; and we will not fail."
Still, it's a personal win for President Obama, but the chief executive dithered in regards to the Afghanistan surge. He won't be able to pound his chest with abandon. While Obama is adept at opining about a wide variety of subjects, he rarely talks about the military and the three wars we are fighting.
UPDATE May 2: In his televised comments about Bin Laden's killing, President Obama said "Justice has been done."
New Yorkers are gathering at Ground Zero.
Bin Laden was not killed in an air strike but shot in the head by an elite Navy SEAL team. There were no American casualties. Three other al Qaeda creeps were killed, one of them tried to use a woman as a human shield. (That's the way these bastards operate.)
Bin Laden was buried at sea--there will be no UBL tomb for terrorists to visit.
How did we find the mansion, which actually is in Abbottabad? Through intelligence gathered at the Guantanamo Bay terrorist facility.

Another place to show our appreciation to our troops. :)
