Dept. of Ed. arranging one-sided "conversation" about for-profit colleges

Last month I reported on the President's BP Oil Commission report, which I called "flawed," because there were no oil industry experts on the panel.

It appears that such deck-decking was not a fluke. Marathon Pundit received a copy of an email sent from a senior Department of Education staffer about a meeting tomorrow, it's being called a--"conversation"--centered on its new incentive compensation rule regarding recruiting at for-profit colleges.

The Association Private Sector Colleges and Universities is challenging the rule in a lawsuit.

But many have been called, but not all will be chosen for this meeting. The email states by accepting the DoE's invitation, "you or your parent company are not members or affiliate members of APSCU, and that you have no connection to the filing of the claims by APSCU."

There won't be a balanced "conversation" tomorrow.

So much for representative democracy...
