Hey, when I think Texas, I think..dairy farming.Not really, although I'm sure there are some dairy farms in the Lone Star State. But 45 miles north of Chicago is Wisconsin...America's Dairyland...so wouldn't it make sense to have the International Dairy Foods Association trade show so close to Wisconsin.
Of course it would.
But Dallas, not Chicago, will host that show, Crain's Chicago Business reports.
Technically, this is not a loss for the city, but the association, along with the American Meat Institute, was part of a biennial trade show, the World Wide Food Expo that had met in Chicago.
Why Dallas?
"Chicago is not inexpensive" is what a spokeswoman said.
