Upper Peninsula Upventure: Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse

Technically this lighthouse is not an Upper Peninsula of Michigan attraction--it's on the northern tip of the lower peninsula in Mackinaw City, within walking distance of the Mackinac (pronounced MACK-in-naw) Bridge.

The Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse, a real beauty by the way, went into operation in 1892. After it was decommissioned in 1958, it became a museum.
