That "squeaky clean" Patrick Quinn

Associated Press published an article about Illinois' governor, Rod Blagojevich's replacement Patrick Quinn. The story quotes longtime left-wing activist Quentin Young as "squeaky clean."

Well, he's much cleaner than Blago. Most people are.

But what about the disgraced former governor and Quinn?

Twice Quinn was Blagojevich's running mate, in 2002 and 2006, Quinn was a beneficiary of Blago's dirty money.

By 2006 it was widely believed Blago was under federal investigation; in October his friend Tony Rezko was indicted. Here's what Quinn said about his fellow Chicago Democrat in the autumn of '06:

He's always been a person who's honest and one of integrity. I have confidence the governor does the right thing all the time.
