Today is another dark day for America. This evening--shortly after midnight, August 31--in Afganistan, our troops left that nation.
From the Daily Mail:
And some 100 to 200 Americans and thousands of Afghan allies left behind must fend for themselves now that the airport no longer offers an escape route.
The end of the mission was announced by General Frank McKenzie, head of U.S. Central Command, who said the chief U.S. diplomat in Afghanistan, Ross Wilson, was on the last C-17 flight out.
'There's a lot of heartbreak associated with this departure,' he said.
'We did not get everybody out that we wanted to get out.You see that? "Fend for themselves!" And "we did not get everybody out that we wanted to get out."
And I suspect that "100-200" number will go up.
Sad.
Not just sad.
Tragic.
Joe Biden needs to go.
The US military is so FUBAR they left behind dozens of service dogs in crates at Kabul, even though many airplanes left the airport partly empty.
ReplyDeleteGood Lord. What has happened to our country? Oh yeah, I remember. Joe Biden.
