In Tweet from Cairo IL Pritzker wrongly calls Ohio one of continent's two longest rivers

Since he presides over Illinois as governor, which has one of the worst funded public pension plans of the 50 states and currently has $5 billion in past bill dues, it's easy to believe that numbers are not the long suit of the Governor JB Pritzker, a Chicago Democrat. Or Democrats overall in Illinois. Every budget for nearly 40 years has the fingerprints of Boss Michael Madigan, the longtime state House speaker and Illinois Democratic Party chairman.

Yesterday Pritzker traveled to Cairo, as the southern tip of Illinois. The impoverished town, whose population peaked 100 years ago, is a 19th relic. It sits at the confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. Commerce by way of rivers peaked more than 100 years ago.

Anyway, in a Tweet, Pritzker from Cairo, while announcing a $40 million grant for the town, said this, "Sitting at the intersection of North America's two largest rivers, Cairo presents an enormous economic opportunity for investors, for the state of Illinois and for our working families."

But the Ohio doesn't even rank among the ten-longest rivers in North America.
