I'm currently watching Ken Burns' County Music documentary on PBS. One of the artists he focuses on is the Carter Family. Here is version by a downstate Illinois band, Uncle Tupelo. The band's leaders, Jay Farrar went on to form Sun Volt; Jeff Tweedy founded Wilco.
