At least 41 shot, three of them fatally, in Chicago over the weekend

Despite Chicago having a new mayor, Lori Lightfoot, the city's annual uptick in shootings during the summer has returned. Over the past weekend, at least 41 people were shot--and that number includes three fatalities.

The weekend began with a bloody start when 22 people were shot within the first 12 hours.

Among the weekend's wounded are a 12-year-old boy who was shot in the back in Roseland on the South Side.
