California city declares war on 'racist' trees

Decades ago, as I wrote last month, real estate developers in Detroit built a wall to separate black and white neighborhoods near Eight Mile Road. Both sides of the wall are predominately African-American. The wall still stands, but parts of it are now painted with beautiful murals.

Meanwhile in goofy southern California there is a wall of trees on the edge of Tahquitz Creek Golf Course in Palm Springs. Apparently the trees were planted as a wall of sorts because on the other side of the trees is a black neighborhood.

Some people in Palm Springs says that makes the trees racist--I thought liberals liked trees?--and city officials plans to chop the trees down. The cost to taxpayers? $169,000. Tucker Carlson has more.

Oh, don't trees help cut-down on greenhouse gases?
