Chicago suffered through a brutal July--74 murdered--and the city is now on pace to surpass 2016's shocking number of murders. Last year 762 people were murdered in Chicago, which was more than New York and Los Angeles combined. The year before 468 people were slain in Chiraq.
The only major city losing population is Chicago.
Chicago now has seen 402 killings this year so far.
