Illinois finally has a budget after two years--which some deluded people are claiming is balanced--but the shootings continue in Chicago. Over the weekend two people were shot to death, one in Brighton Park on the Southwest Side and another in Englewood on the South Side. Another 38 were wounded citywide.
Within a six hour period 15 people were shot, including three at a South Side beach.
