Rockpile: Wrong Again (Let's Face It)

The late 1970s and the early 1980s were the time of the second British Invasion. In this video, several forces come into play. Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe released several "solo" albums that were really Rockpile efforts. When there contract entanglements were straightened out in 1980, the band released their only official album, Seconds of Pleasure.

It's a real gem but the band promptly broke up after its release. Lowe and Edmunds, in a clear sign of disunity, kept their own managers after the solidification of Rockpile.

Another UK New Wave force was Squeeze, anchored by the Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook songwriting team.

Here we see Rockpile, with Edmunds singing lead, performing Difford and Tilbrook's "Wrong Again (Let's Face It)."
