Englewood earlier this year
Violence plagued Chicago again over another holiday weekend. Thirteen people were shot to death and at least 52 people were wounded over the the the Labor Day weekend, the traditional end of summer.

One of the slain was an 80-year-old man who was killed after a man, who has been arrested, simply walked up to him and shot him in the South Shore neighborhood. Yep, an 80 year-old.

In the Back of the Yards neighborhood, a woman who is nine months pregnant was shot twice, she's being hospitalized and is in serious condition.

The notorious Englewood neighborhood on the South Side was the site of several shootings.

One of the Labor Day weekend killings was the 500th murder in Chiraq this year. The city has already exceeded last year's murder total.
